News Daytona Beach | by Diane Coston | DeLand, FL – Backpack Buddies is hosting its tenth Drive-Thru Food giveaway beginning at 4 p.m. today at the Wayne G. Sanborn Activity Center, 815 S. Alabama Avenue in DeLand.
The event will last until supplies are gone and more than 30,000 pounds of perishable and non-perishable items will be given away. The frozen meats, bread, produce, pastries and many other food products will be loaded into your trunk or the back of your truck by volunteers, who will conduct a no-contact distribution.
The program is open to all Volusia County residents and ID is not required.
