The Daytona Beach News-Journal | by Katie Kustura | ORANGE CITY — It all started when Kelli Marks heard a woman crying.
It was 2019 and a new school year had recently begun when Marks stopped by Orange City Elementary, where her children attended at that time.
Marks learned why the mother was upset.
“The school pantry at that time was empty,” Marks said.
So, Marks took to Facebook for some help.
“Within 24 hours we filled the school pantry up and obviously got that family some food,” Marks said.
